PHOTOSYNTHESIS

The other day I read that it's important to wash the leaves of your houseplants.

I learned that if your plant's leaves are coated in a layer of dust, it can block the light and also make it hard for carbon dioxide to flow in.

A clean plant will photosynthesize at optimal levels. ✨Light energy in, oxygen out.💨

The past few months, I've felt a little bit like I've been coated in a metaphorical layer of dust. Less connection and energy from others makes it harder for me to create and express, to find the motivation to produce my own version of oxygen (to keep the metaphor going).

I don't believe us humans are meant to operate optimally 100% of the time. We are cyclical beings and our expansion comes from our seasons of darkness and quiet just as much as our seasons of fertility and light.

All this to say, if your leaves are also feeling a bit covered in dust, I see you. You're doing your best to let the light in, and the world will be ready and waiting once the dust clears.
